Turn Me Inside Out

Can we just talk about loyalty for a minute, as in my loyalty to this blog and with friendships. First all with this blog I haven't been updating in a while simply because I have nothing to talk about, or so I feel. The same shit is happening that occurred last summer, people are going through the same shit (drugs etc.) and I'm sick of it. Not just here to rant, because I don't want to turn into that. When that time comes, which I sadly feel will be very soon, I'll end it. I figure that when something turns into a chore its time to move on. It doesn't help that blogland is dead, too.

This past month since school ended (graduated with honours, ahem!) I've just been working, yes at the local Dairy Queen, y'all can make fun of me now! Oddly its a lot of work, but the people who work there are sick and the money is nice. But on that topic, I haven't seen many people from school. I really feel that the people you hang out with during the summer can be viewed as better friends than others, its really easy to make friendships at school your forced to be in one building together. Call it stubbornness or what but i've been practicing the "I'm gonna wait for you to text me first..." strategy. I'm just fed up with people and their 'loyalty', relationships aren't based on drugs, sex, or money. When you start regarding those as your true relationships its over.

Starting to countdown the days until Uni, its slowly starting to creep up, its almost August people!

What have you been doing this summer?

I so know what you mean about false relationships.
Luckily, there are always at least a couple of people who are worth it and who do not just care about someone because of his reputation, looks, money or the like.

As for blogland, yeah, it's really sad that you, I and Rowan are basically the only young gay bloggers here that are still active. Most others have moved on to twitter or tumblr... I really hope you're going to stay though, for I really love your blog and can relate to so much of what you say.

And I always find it good to read what you write and try to comment - which could, but doesn't have to, lead to longer conversations.

There are some other 'younger' guys around in blogland btw - but yeah, one has to do bit of link following to find them and if people don't get comments and fun from it then they're not going to continue blogging.

For some of us the indiscriminate, soulless and impersonal tale of Google closing blogs (without always obvious reason) makes it a quirky, unpredictable and unhappy platform for many of us.

So that's why many of us are now on Tumblr, Wordpress and Nibblebit.

Mind you - this commenting and Following lark is a two-way thing and perhaps, er, you should get around more!

Summer work? Oh yeah. But, as you say, the money's so very useful and it is difficult to maintain decent relationships when they're maybe doing nothing all day and you're working. Shame if work hasn't thrown up anyone worth getting to know: here's hoping that Uni will be much, much more social, eh?

But, Micky, from how I see it, the only blogs that Google deletes are those on which there's underage nudity or too much advertisement of commercial sites. The Content Policy say explicitly that such content is not allowed, so I wouldn't call that quirky or unpredictable. Nibblebit's Terms of Service also say that content that somehow shows or encourages sexual attraction towards underage persons is not allowed and tumblr also says that sexually explicit material isn't allowed. The question is just whether each of these platforms reduces these policies to practice as much as they could.

Sound like me I don't feel the need to write anything on my blog b/c in reality I feel that nothing has changed.

Yet I just can't get rid of it even though I don't have/wont make time for it.

-_- trying to NOT think about school starting back up that's what.

Ok take care Queen ;)
your friend and fellow queen :P
